Formatting & Layout
Formatting is the process of designing the interior of a published book.

This includes
-
Choosing fonts and heading styles
-
Creating the layout for text, images, folios, running heads and feet
-
Ensuring the layout does not distract from the text by controlling orphans, widows, ladders, rivers and other potential distractions
-
Designing the half title and title pages, copyright page, contents and back matter as needed.

All formatting includes two rounds of revisions. Additional revisions can be added for an additional cost. Formatting is done in InDesign with proofs submitted as PDFs.

AClarke Editorial only offers formatting for text based manuscripts with minimal images.

*Formatting does not include proofreading.
